What I love about teaching Spanish at St. Vincent de Paul is the opportunity to open a window into a new language and culture for my students. I enjoy not only teaching words and phrases, but also sharing traditions, music, and celebrations from Spanish-speaking countries that help students see the beauty of different cultures. My favorite part of the day is being with students, listening to them try out Spanish words and prayers, and seeing the pride on their faces as they connect language, faith, and culture.
